HULL Mr. Ashton Deshawn-age 20 passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 with 10:30 a.m. Family hour at Refuge Temple Church of Flint 4400 W. Carpenter Rd. Pastor Seon Thompson officiating. The final resting place for Mr. Hull will be River Rest Cemetery Flint, MI. Calling hours for Mr. Hull are 12:00 noon - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at Serenity Funeral Chapel G-2340 W. Carpenter Rd. Flint, MI 48505.

Mr. Ashton DeShawn Hull, was born September 30, 1992 in Flint Michigan, the son of Precious Carlton and Michael Hull. Ashton was baptized at an early age and was currently studying Islam. Ashton graduated in 2012 from Flint Northern High School. This warm and genuine soul was an incredible young man, and an upcoming artist who was a loving caring person with a great future ahead of him. He was known by all as a “for real” guy with a compassionate heart and a momma’s boy.

Mr. Hull was a handsome charmer with amazing dimples and a knockout smile. Ashton cherished his son Je’Dyn and the love he had for his son, his mother and family was immeasurable. With his awesome and charming personality he made many friends and never met a stranger. He influenced others with his infectious sense of humour, and his mild manner, allowing his wit and amazing personality to permeate most all situations. He had a passion for wrestling, football, basketball, especially acrobats, that was evident in him always flipping and he was truly a jokester. He was determined to be the best father that any child could ever hope for, and was adamant about spending quality time with his son, mother, family and friends.

Mr. Hull leaves to cherish his memories: adorable, loving son, Je’Dyn Haneef Hull; amazing, dedicated and awesome loving mother, Precious Carlton; loving father, Michael Hull of Flint; charming grandmother, Lillie Ware of Flint; 4 sisters, Brittany Carlton, Shanquila Hull, Shandra Hull all of Flint, and Shahanna Hull of Virginia; 1 brother, Michael Hull Jr. of Flint; 6 aunts, Sheila Smith of California, Darnella (Floyd) Cook of North Carolina, Monica Murray, Yalonda Hull, Theresa Watkins, Camille Collins (Cedric Long) all of Flint; 4 uncles, Ronald Hull, Lamar Hull both of Texas, Steve Watkins of Flint and Eddie Watkins of Atlanta, GA; 1 great aunt, Rosemary Chaney; 1 great uncle, Charles (Rose) Albert of Memphis, TN; special cousins, Christian and Chanler Cook, Ashley Callon, Lamar Hull Jr., and Korsha Watkins of Flint; godmother, Cynthia Howell of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends survive, including special friends, Carmen Lawson loving mother of his son Je’Dyn, Marcus Pace, and Deunco Carter.

Mr. Hull was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Murray, Eddie Watkins, and Lawanda Hull; great-grandmother, Dorothy Pringle; and uncle, Alfred Person.
The family extends a heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Seon Thompson, Refuge Temple Church of Flint, Carmen Lawson, Cynthia Howell, Dave (Patricia) Burton, Camille Collins, Darnella (Floyd) Cook and Serenity Funeral Chapel.
